Proud Sponsor of CUBE 2025 – Hyva Supports the Next Generation of Sustainable Thinkers

Hyva proudly served as the case sponsor for the CUBE (Corvinus Undergraduate Business Experience) competition, held at Corvinus University of Budapest. Our colleagues Tamara Balint, Jacob Biemond, Gábor Bognár, and Ramona Máté were invited to represent Hyva on the jury panel, where they evaluated 16 solutions from top student teams.

CUBE is one of Europe’s most prestigious international business case competitions, drawing participants from elite business schools across the globe—from Montreal to Sydney, Hong Kong to Florida. Over just 24 hours, teams tackled the following real-world Hyva challenge:

“Explore how Hyva can evolve or enhance its current product portfolio to align with a more sustainable future and capitalize on the opportunities emerging over the next 5–10 years.”

A Wealth of Strategic Insight

The students delivered an incredible range of ideas—creative, actionable, and relevant to our transformation journey. Among the 16 solutions collected, standout proposals included:

  • A Green Supplier Accelerator program, offering training and co-financed ESG certifications to boost supply chain transparency.
  • The EnduroLoop model—refurbishing used components to reduce emissions and support second-life markets.
  • Entry into the disaster relief logistics sector with ruggedized, traceable, and low-emission solutions for humanitarian response.
  • Partnering with H2 Green Steel to integrate low-carbon materials into our hydraulics portfolio and meet upcoming CSRD and CBAM requirements.

Why It Mattered?

Participating in CUBE gave Hyva:

  • Access to 16 forward-looking sustainability ideas.
  • A pulse on next-gen thinking from top international universities.
  • An opportunity to boost Hyva’s employer brand among ambitious students.
  • Strategic input for real innovation and ESG planning.
We witnessed a new level of energy and originality from the student teams—delivering not just theory, but practical and visionary ideas tailored to Hyva.
Tamara Balint

We are grateful for this opportunity to connect education with industry, and we look forward to translating these insights into value for our products, operations, and people. The final winner was the team from Rotterdam Erasmus University, who presented a well-rounded, feasible, and inspiring solution.
