Hyva do Brasil Recognized for Avoiding CO₂ Emissions

On May 21st, Hyva do Brazil was awarded the Certificate of Avoided Emissions by the Proamb reCO₂nhece program at the 10th edition of Fiema Brazil in Bento Gonçalves. Proamb is a leading provider of environmental solutions with over 30 years of experience in the market. This award underscores Hyva's commitment to responsible industrial waste disposal and reducing CO₂ emissions.

The award recognizes companies that use co-processing to manage industrial waste, transforming it into Refuse-Derived Fuel (RDF) for the cement industry, which replaces petroleum coke. By adopting this model, Hyva significantly contributes to a cleaner energy matrix and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by diverting waste from landfills.

The company is committed to sustainable practices through its “Zero Industrial Landfill” project, which aligns with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles. This initiative aims to eliminate landfill disposal of industrial waste, focusing on converting waste into alternative energy sources to support the decarbonization of industrial processes.
