Key safety actions taken around the cylinder
First, the Alpha tipping valve can be mounted directly on the cylinder. In this configuration, it can react to any critical situation in the cylinder very quickly and efficiently to reduce the pressure. Once mounted on the cylinder directly, it also acts as a hose burst valve. In the event of feeding hose failure, it stops the oil from the cylinder in a controlled manner.
Like all Hyva HT tipping valves, Alpha HT is a very precise and proportional valve to assure smooth operation without unnecessary peaks of pressure. Hyva HT vales are the pilot operated type, which respond very quickly to any overpressure situations which, in extreme cases, can lead to damage of the cylinder or even the tipper collapsing.
To avoid working pressure setting changes being made by unqualified persons, the Alpha HT valves use fixed pressure cartridges. This significantly reduces risk of damaging the vehicle during the installation as no setting by the installers is needed, and, during operation to prevent overload related situations.
Hyva pumps are designed with safety in mind
The housings are designed to cope with pressure much higher than nominal pressure. This prevents dangerous pump cracking in the event of extreme pressure situations. Also, each Hyva pump is equipped with a drainage system, which not only indicates internal leakage, but also prevents very costly damage to the gearbox when oils are transferred between the gearbox and pump.
We can select standard or heavy-duty cylinder versions, depending on the working conditions of the vehicle. Additionally, for each version, a hard chrome option can be added.
With an extensive range of Hyva Alpha cylinder sizes, we can select the cylinder size to match exactly the tipping capacity needed. And, to reduce the weight and power consumption of operating an oversized cylinder in an application where this is not needed.
