Amsterdam, 16 November 2007- Hyva Group (“Hyva”), the global provider of lifting and tipping systems to the commercial vehicle industry, last night came runner up in the prestigious Cathay Pacific China Trader Award.

The Cathay Pacific China Trader Awards evening was hosted by Cathay Pacific Airways, the China Council of the Netherlands Council for Trade Promotion and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, and held at the Castle ‘De Wittenburg’ in Wassenaar, The Netherlands. The annual award recognises outstanding success by Dutch businesses operating in Hong Kong and China.

The winner of this year’s award was KEMA, a technical consultancy company, with IGM Resins, a global supplier of specialty chemicals, runner-up alongside Hyva.

Hyva was singled out for its success in innovation, creativity and profitability across its Chinese operations. Hyva has been operating in China since 1996 and in 2004 opened its latest manufacturing plant in China to satisfy growing demand in the domestic market.

Hyva offers a wide range of technical products and components to the Chinese market. The products manufactured in China are used in connection with hydraulic loading and unloading systems on trucks and trailers for the road transportation industry. Business is currently expanding rapidly to satisfy growing demand for improved logistics from the global business community that is increasingly using China as a manufacturing centre. Hyva also plays an important role in the manufacturing and supply of compactors and waste collecting units for the environmental services industry in China, which is a strong growth area with increased focus on environment issues.
