Alphen aan den Rijn, Netherlands , 25 September 2009 .  Hyva has won the NICCT India Business Award 2009 in recognition of the company’s excellence in exploring India-Netherlands business opportunities and investing in India .

Hyva was announced as the winner by Mr R L Lakhina, Chairman of the Jury and Executive President NICCT, at the business award and dinner at ING House in Amsterdam on the evening of 24 September 2009 . The award was presented by the Ambassador of India to The Netherlands and the Ambassador of The Netherlands to India , in the presence of many prominent Dutch and Indian business leaders.

In his acceptance speech, Mr Louwrens Dijkstra, CEO of Hyva Group B.V., thanked the NICCT for their recognition. “We are honoured to receive this prestigious award. It is a landmark occasion for Hyva India and another milestone in the development of the Hyva Group. From our modest start in India in 1997, we have developed to become the undisputed market leading supplier of sophisticated transport solutions for the commercial vehicle and environmental service industry. We are very proud of the ‘Made in India ’ transport solutions emerging from our factories in Mumbai, Bangalore and Jamshedpur . The Netherlands India Chamber of Commerce & Trade (NICCT) is a non-commercial, voluntary association of business concerns and professionals with an interest in business and economic relations between India and The Netherlands. The selection process for the NICCT Award winner was made, by a highly qualified independent jury, on the basis of the nominated companies’ records on sustainability, social responsibility, strategic value, growth, innovation and entrepreneurship.
