Mr Conger, aged 56, has been Chairman of the Board of Hyva since February 2004. As Chairman of Hyva Group he manages the business of the Board, ensuring its full participation in Hyva’s strategic decision making process and expansion across the world. He is also a non-executive Chairman of the Norma Group (since 2006), Chairman of AES Engineering Plc (since 2003), Chairman of Olaer Industries Group (since 2005) and Chairman of Mold Masters Ltd (since 2007). From 2004 to 2006, Mr Conger was Chairman of the Board of Fabricauto, one of Europe’s largest car number plate manufacturers. Prior to this he was Senior Vice President of Anglo-French transport and power company, Alstom SA. Here Mr Conger created the concept of a global rolling stock services business and developed this into a worldwide division with €900m annual revenues. Previously he led the recovery of a $570m European division at Allied Signal Automotive, and restored financial health to a €220m division of BBA Group Plc. Mr Conger graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Leeds University and an MBA from Bradford University Management School.
Chief Executive Officer
Mr Dijkstra, aged 52, has been with Hyva since 1990, first as Executive Vice President, focusing on finance and business development, then since 2004 as Chief Executive Officer. His responsibility is to define and implement Hyva Group strategy and lead the management team of the business. Before joining Hyva Mr Dijkstra was Managing Director of West Holland Milieu BV, part of the international waste collection company Browning Ferris Industries from 1985 to 1989. He began his career as a banker with NMB bank, now part of ING Group. He graduated from the Erasmus University with a Degree in Economic and Business Administration.
Mr Koch, aged 53, joined Hyva as Chief Financial Officer in February 2004. He is responsible for finance as well as the IT Function. Prior to this Mr Koch was with Philips for 15 years, occupying various roles, at specific manufacturing sites and at the divisional headquarters for semiconductors, components and lighting. He worked as Finance Director at both Glynwed PLC (for 3 years) and Plukon (for 4 years), and as Finance Director for Europe at Belden Wire & Cable (for 4 years). Mr Koch studied Business Economics and Information Technology at HES in Groningen.
Mr van der Weeen, aged 58, has been with Hyva since November 2006. He is responsible for all operations as well as the R&D function. At the beginning of his professional career Mr van der Weeen worked with Union Carbide as a mechanical engineer and project supervisor for 10 years. Subsequently he was Quality Director at Volvo for 4 years, and spent 3 years as a General Manager at Wabco (a global leader in commercial vehicle braking systems). Before joining Hyva he held a number of senior roles, working at Monroe (international leader in precision ride control solutions) as Operations Director, at SCA (Multi-national paper and cardboard producer) as a Managing Director, at Allied Signal as a Group Sourcing Director, and at both Alstom S.A and Roulunds Braking as a Managing Director Vice president. He studied mechanical engineering at the University of Gent in Belgium.
MARK REDMAN
Non Executive Director
Mr Redman, aged 40, has been a Non-Executive Director of Hyva since February 2004. He contributes to the development of Hyva’s corporate strategies, drawing on his experience from corporate finance and buyouts. He had a leading role in the buyouts of UTT, Hyva, Aviapartner, ABX Logistics and VNU Media and is a partner in 3i’s buyout business, having joined 3i in 1996. He sits on the Board of Directors of Hyva and Aviapartner, and has an observer role at VNU Media. Mr Redman spent the first seven years of his career with Grant Thornton in London, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant before spending three years in corporate finance. He holds an MA in Modern History from Oxford University.
